The Dove Original pairs a Sitka spruce top with a flame maple back and sides and traditional scalloped X-bracing. Multi-ply binding outlines the top and back, while the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish complements the clean lines of the square-shoulder body. Together, the maple construction and 25.5-inch scale help give the Dove the crisp response and clear projection that define its tonal character.

The mahogany neck has a comfortable Rounded profile and joins the body with a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint. It is fitted with a rosewood fretboard with a 12-inch radius, 20 standard frets, and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. The headstock is equipped with nickel Grover® Keystone tuners and a bone nut.
